There is a rewind facility and selected on demand material on the pc version. I now have plusnet tv with a youview+ box which has eurosport and the ability to record. You would need to be a Plusnet fibre/phone customer to go this route though.

Hi @Shirls Does Eurosport Player not appear when you do a search as coming up on my TV (a 2017 model), though personally do not use it as have the Eurosport channels. Ensure you have the latest firmware on yout TV and if still an issue you should firstly try Smart Hub Reset and possibly Factory Reset.
